Is the Urthy Mist a non-toxic plug-in air freshener?
“Non-toxic” isn’t a regulated or certified term for air fresheners, so here’s exactly what’s in it: our phthalate-free fragrance oil, turned into a fine, dry mist. No water, no heat, no flame. Like any fragrance oil, keep it away from kids and pets and don’t swallow it.
How is it different from a regular plug-in air freshener?
It doesn’t heat the oil. It mists it in short bursts, then rests. Set a 1, 2, 4 or 8-hour timer, pick one of 4 intensity levels, or run it from the free Smart Life app. One unit covers up to 430 sq ft, and it refills with any 4 oz Scent Tower Refill.
How big a room does it cover?
Up to 430 sq ft on the highest level. For a small bathroom or office, start on level 1.
How long does a bottle last?
It depends on the timer and intensity you pick. Level 1 on a shorter timer makes it last longest; level 4 on 8 hours uses it fastest. One 4 oz Scent Tower Refill fills the bottle about four times.
Do I need the app?
No. The timer and intensity work right on the unit. The free Smart Life app adds on/off, schedules and control from your phone.
What oil goes in it?
Urthy fragrance oil or any 4 oz Hotelaire Scent Tower Refill, in any of the 8 Hotelaire scents. Fragrance oil only, never water.
Can I switch scents?
Yes. Empty the bottle, wipe it out and refill with the new scent.
Will people notice it?
Not the device. It's about 6 inches tall, white, with no cord and no light. The plug turns 90° so it fits the outlet either way.
Does it have a light?
No mood light. Just small indicator dots for the timer and intensity.
Can I lay it down or move it?
Keep it upright when there's oil in the bottle so it doesn't leak. Empty it before you move or pack it.
Starter Kit or Gift Set?
Both come with the same plug-in. The Starter Kit adds a 30 ml (1 oz) amber bottle of oil (one full fill). The Gift Set adds a full 4 oz Scent Tower Refill (about four fills).
Is there a warranty?
Yes, a 90-day limited warranty from the date of purchase. It covers the plug-in when you use only Urthy fragrance oil or Scent Tower Refills in it; using other oils voids it. If something goes wrong, email info@urthylife.com.
