Ekoa™ Face Oil

SQUALANE · JOJOBA · POMEGRANATE STEROLS · DRY-TOUCH
Water hydrates. Ekoa keeps it there.

Everything you put on your face in steps 1 to 3 is mostly water, and water leaves. Ekoa Face Oil is a thin layer of skin-like lipids — squalane, jojoba, pomegranate sterols — that slows that loss without shine or weight. No actives to react to, nothing to wait for. Step 4 of the routine, over Signal, morning and night.

How this supports longevity: a light lipid seal every day keeps the barrier intact, and an intact barrier is the foundation the rest of the routine builds on.

Is it for your skin?

Anyone whose skin is dry again an hour after moisturizing. Anyone who has given up on face oils because of shine. Reactive or sensitive skin that wants a step with nothing to react to. Anyone layering under makeup who needs it to absorb first.

The science

Water-based steps hydrate; lipids decide whether the water stays. Ekoa Face Oil is a blend of the lipid classes skin already carries on its surface — squalane, wax esters from jojoba, plant sterols from pomegranate, and linoleic-rich sweet almond, meadowfoam and oat oils — on a light triglyceride base so it spreads thin and absorbs to a dry finish. Pressed on last, it slows water loss through the barrier without occluding it, and it contains no acids, retinoids or fragrance, so there is nothing in it to react to.

Key ingredients

Squalane · Jojoba seed oil · Sweet almond oil · Meadowfoam seed oil · Pomegranate sterols · Oat kernel oil · Caprylic/capric triglyceride (MCT) · Tocopherol (vitamin E)

Full ingredients

Squalane, Isopropyl Myristate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Sterols, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Oil, Tocopherol, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract.

How to use

Warm two or three drops between your fingertips and press onto damp skin as the last step — over Signal in the morning, over Signal or your night hydrator in the evening. Do not rub; pressing is enough. On very dry skin, follow with a thin layer of Everlume face balm at night. It also mixes well: add a drop to any moisturizer to make it richer.

NOW

FEEL IT

Two or three drops pressed onto damp skin disappear in under a minute. Skin feels soft and settled, with a matte-satin finish that sits fine under makeup.

NEXT

HYDRATION THAT STAYS

With a lipid layer over it, the water from Signal and Clerra has nowhere to go. Skin that felt tight by lunchtime stops doing that in the first week or two.

OVER TIME

A CALMER, STEADIER BARRIER

No acids, no retinoids, no fragrance — just the lipids the barrier is made of. Used daily, it is what keeps skin resilient enough for the stronger steps to do their work.

WHAT'S IN IT. WHAT THE RESEARCH FOUND.

KEY ACTIVES.
DOSED RIGHT.

Six plant lipids, no actives to react to. Here is what the research says about the three doing the most work — studies on the ingredients, not on this bottle.

01 / 03
SQUALANE
4 WEEKS
Squalene is about 13% of your skin's own surface lipids and drops with age. Squalane is its stable plant-derived form — the lightest oil in the blend, and the reason Ekoa feels dry to the touch.
In a single-arm study, 50 women aged 18–50 used an oil-based face serum built on squalane once daily for 4 weeks: skin elasticity improved by up to 11.9%, water loss through the skin fell across the study, and the oil was well tolerated. The serum also contained bakuchiol, so the result is not squalane's alone.
02 / 03
JOJOBA OIL
2 WEEKS
Not a triglyceride oil but liquid wax esters — the same lipid class that makes up a quarter of human sebum. It sits on skin the way your own oil does, which is why it does not feel foreign or clog.
In a randomized multi-center study, 32 adults with dry skin applied jojoba oil, almond oil, coconut oil or white petrolatum twice daily. All four significantly increased skin hydration by week 2 (p<0.01); jojoba was as effective as petrolatum. Open-label pilot study.
03 / 03
POMEGRANATE STEROLS
+94%
Plant sterols pressed from pomegranate seed. A waxy lipid that behaves like lanolin — it integrates into the barrier and slows water loss — without the animal source. This is what makes a thin oil hold water like a cream.
In a 24-hour moisturization test on 16 healthy volunteers aged 20–45, skin hydration rose 94% versus baseline after one application of the pomegranate sterol fraction, measured by conductance probe on the forearm against a standard moisturizing cream control. Supplier in-vivo data, small panel.

Study results describe research on the individual ingredient, not clinical testing of this finished formula. Individual results vary.

HOW TO USE

THREE DROPS. PRESS. DONE.

Oils go on last. If you put a water-based serum over it, the serum will not get through.
